So now it is reported Ribe and his father were connecting through Puerto Rico, and had to go through immigration there as it is the first call of the US. Apparently there was some stamp missing on Ribe's new passport so DHS has detained him and separated him from his father. What a mess.
The missing stamp is his entry-stamp into the DR, which is located in his original passport (which the DR apparently refuses to relinquish).
So it doesn't show he went to the DR, but he is taking a return flight from DR into PR and getting asked where the hell are you entering from? Obviously, world knows this story by now but those folks need to see a stamp.
How can you get an entry stamp on a replacement emergency passport? How do millions of Americans who’ve lost their passport while traveling abroad and get an emergency passport from their embassy ever get back into the US? Are you referring to a stamp DR should have placed on his new passport at the airport when he left last night? Because if so and they didn’t stamp it then sounds like it was deliberate.
No clue. Unless he has told someone what happened, or it has been reported, don't know.
So it’s not an entry stamp. Again. How can there be an entry stamp on a brand new emergency passport? It must be an exit stamp. Press said he had an escort go through security with him, so I call BS on DR “forgetting” to stamp at exit when that’s what the person whose job it is does it ALL DAY.
Or did security let him through in DR before exit stamping because they *knew* everyone knew where he was headed? But PR said nah we need to see the stamp
