I think the opposite. Why would he kill himself? Guilt over killing Gaby? Had he felt it he would have called the 911 the minute it happened, or come clean to her family. Obviously, he’s not feeling the guilt or the responsibility. He probably blamed her in his mind for the situation she’s in, the way abusers and narcissists blame their victims. This, plus the fact that his parents do not act like their son died, they do not seem devastated, the dad making believe that he’s looking for him, joking with officer. If they knew their son is dead or there is threat of him killing himself, they’d be more devastated or more frantically looking for him. I understand that not all families are similar and people react in different ways, but this assertion that he killed himself seems like a wishful thinking for justice than anything else.[/quote]
