No body cares about Hebrew. Every single time I mention this school to acquaintances when discussing DC charter schools and the whole rigamarole they all say "Hebrew. Really?" This includes Jewish friends. Some think it's a great idea, but still strange just the same. The bottom line is there's not that much interest and people are really pissed that it's not Mandarin or Spanish. This makes SELA boosters mad, but sometimes the truth hurts.[/quote]
