Sela is no more of a hot mess than Yu Ying was when it almost closed the first year.

Anyone who thinks that Sela is not appropriate for DCI is an anti-semite. Happy now!...This thread proves one thing- stay far far away from Sela, its boosters and whatever the hell else they've got going on. Completely bad mojo. And as far you being a DCI parent, may God help us. Just so happy that for all of your boosterism, Sela will not get into DCI. It's undersubscribed, can't keep an admin., has sock puppet after sock puppet, is teaching a language that nobody care about, etc... Booster, put your money where your mouth is. Leave your feeder and join Sela. Not in a million years, right. Funny how you liars always change your tune when it comes to your own kids.

It really cheapens the real discrimination Jews face on a daily basis. As far as discussing Finnish, that's in the same bag as Hebrew and would be equally as annoying to hear boosters claiming it should join DCI.
A mere 9MIL speak Hebrew. 5MIL Speak Finnish. However, 1BIL people speak Mandarin, Nearly 400MIL speak Spanish and nearly 130MIL speak French.
Hebrew, Finnish and any other self-limited languages just down have the usefulness of the top 10 languages in the world and I wouldn't want DCI resources wasted on them. If the fishyness of this is too overwhelming for you I suggest you throw out your underpants.

Seems really shallow and pathetic and certainly will give interested families pause to go elsewhere. Our children's education is the most important thing there is. Period. Being skeptical is not only appropriate, but the responsibility of good parents. Also, just because many people, Jewish people included, have expressed that Hebrew is self-limiting in numerous threads on DCUM doesn't make them anti-Semetic. It does, however, make Sela boosters seem desperate and lazy when they so quickly pull the race card in opposition to the criticism. If nothing else, this interaction leaves much to be desired with respect to meeting real Sela parents. I hope you all aren't represented by the boosters up-thread.
