...pardon me,  i have one more question if you please...have you used tutors for your children or used prep courses for SAT or ACT and the like for your kids ...or is this a NYC, Bethesda or Potomac thing.  Thanks.

No, never have. My kids all had a great work ethic and never needed extra help outside of school. I know people who did SAT and ACT prep courses, but my kids did not, and ended up with scores in the 95th percentile and above.
