I’m fine with this. You don’t get to violently protest in this country and we are allowed to detain those not here with legal permission. This isn’t hard.
No one has a problem with "violent protestors" being arrested. No one has a problem with undocumented criminals being arrested and deported. I have a HUGE problem with with ICE spending HUGE amounts of resources and time on non-criminals and detaining them for long periods of time in inhumane conditions. Why? * In no way does it make our country safer. At all. * We are currently, every day, all over the country violating International Laws and Standards because we are not set up for this kind of effort!!! We are keeping people in unsanitary cells, without enough space to lie down, and lacking basic hygiene items like soap, toothbrushes, toilet paper, neglecting medical needs -- sometimes with children. OUR COUNTRY IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THIS. * The are taking away resources from ACTUAL CRIMINALS. Both undocumented and American citizens are having a field day laughing at us because ICE is going to schools and immigration hearings and work places to arrest people. How is this helping??? And before you all do the but Biden but Biden thing: Here's how many individuals each of the last three presidents made leave the U.S., combining all methods (deportations, expulsions, and voluntary departures): Barack Obama (2009-2017): Over 5 million Donald Trump (2017-2021): Approximately 1.6 million to 2 million (includes early Title 42 expulsions) Joe Biden (2021-Present): Over 4.4 million (includes the vast majority of Title 42 expulsions)
