I think the whole flushing scene was perhaps meant to be a little misdirection. What really happens is Robby tells Santos not to discuss it. He’s thinking about covering up for his friend/student, struggling to accept the reality. He contemplates flushing the evidence, but realizes he can’t do that. If your attention was elsewhere, because there is so much happening, you could think he was contemplating taking one. [/quote]
