They kind of set this up in this episode with the drug seeking patient that Mohan and Whitaker were working with. When Robbie got involved and then was talking to the patient about addiction and what needed to happen, you could see him thinking about Langdon and still processing that revelation as he explained that addiction is a disease and needs treatment. It opens the door for them recognizing Langdon needs help and that if he's willing to get treatment, he might need their support for it to work.

No way he comes back as a doctor this season  (in the next four hours) but I could see him coming in to enter a treatment program and I could see him returning for another season after going through the program and then he drama would be around him trying to re-acclimate to work without the drugs.[/quote]
