This. I live in one of the worst school districts in MoCo and a house near us sold for 750k in one day on the market. There is huge pent up demand.

It's propaganda to make the GOP base feel powerful.

In reality, the malls are fine for now because non feds still aren't feeling the chaos, and the local real estate market is fine for now because the feds that have lost their jobs either don't own yet, or bought a while back and it would still be more expensive for them to move elsewhere than to just stay put and pay the lower mortgage rate.

The feds who "stretched" to buy or upgrade under current interest rates are the ones that may be in trouble. Right now it's just the regular houses been out on the market for the regular spring market. [/quote]
