Why would girls who came from old Union leave FVU and go back to club that sold them out? Unless their old coaches go back to McLean?
So ML is bringing his 2010 team to McClean GA...
Doubt this happens. Worse case the team gets fractured. Best case, they still lose a few if old coaches go back to MYS
Bring the old Union 2023-24 roster to Arlington, the only club that has its ish together apparently.
Just because they are wearing the same shirts next year, doesn't mean they have it together. Arlington's had four Girls Academy directors in the last four years. They've gone from being towards the top half of the table to consistently being in the bottom. New director is young, overwhelmed, and too inexperienced and it shows. Only two of their 08s (her team) have been recruited, and one of those to a satellite school no one's ever heard of. Meanwhile other top ECNL clubs are boasting of 7-8 or more class of 2026 recruits. There's no consistency and so the teams start strong and fizzle. Happened with the 08s, the 09s and soon the 11s. Don't be surprised if you see Arlington kids at NVA, FCV and MYS try-outs. Boys side isn't doing any better. Arlington survives because its talent is too busy to travel, but once MYS is a real possibility, kids will start to leave.
