Yes. It just goes to show why clubs do what they do. VDA has emerged as a leader by recruiting top players from other clubs. That’s not a knock. It’s how every top club operates not just here but all over the country. Recruiting is everything. Players have the choice where they go.[/quote]

Na, but nice try. Woman now starting for Florida State was only VDA player rising up through VSA. If I were a parent watching my team get smashed annually, I'd go look too. Every 2006 girl is heading to a D1, mostly ACC.[/quote]

The two scorers in 2010 are homegrown PWSI. VDA is mostly VSA/PWSI but is definitely attracting the top talent from other clubs. McLean needing Vienna and their recreational coaches doesn’t make sense.[/quote]

VDA has talent come from other clubs, but obviously if the coaching wasn't there, plus already solid teams, parents wouldn't be driving 2-5x further for practices and games. FCV ran from VDA for years, then folded. Every other DC metro team now copying (correctly) the VDA model of two+ teams combining to pool players. Could be enough, but VDA just on the path right now with teams, USYNT, and college recruitment.[/quote]
