Nobody wants house guests even if it's their own family. People are already enraged that migrants get better accommodations than poor city residents and homeless. Lots of homeless families in NYC with kids born and raised here. Single male body abled migrants getting hotel rooms to trash and free food is not a popular idea with NYC taxpayers. It's why Adams is making plans to allowing them to work legally and earn their keep, and also moving them into camp like facilities probably to also discourage new migrants from coming here for cushier arrangements.
