+1.  I think what is very troubling to us as progressives is that we have spent the past two years pushing back on threats to democracy.  Then to only have it show up in our neighborhood is very jarring.  When elected officials seek to silence legitimate political speech, especially that which they do not agree with, we slip further into the abyss.  Neighbors are right to be upset with the photo an nonapology apology. I for one do not see how this group can continue to serve as leaders in our community and I would, regrettably, ask them to step aside for the good of everyone.  [/quote]

Agreed.  The fact that one of these commissioners is also a college professor is even more disturbing.  When I was at university our professors encouraged us to debate them. They gave us space and grace to express unpopular options.  We were required to think critically. I fear this is no longer the case.  [/quote]
