[/quote] Russia's economy is roughly the size of New York's, so pretty darn large by the standards of US states. If Russia joined NATO it would be the 7th largest economy in NATO behind the US, Germany, UK, France, Italy and Canada. (Also ahead of Russia are major US allies Japan and South Korea.) Basically, somebody needs to get a message to Putin and let him know that Russia isn't the Soviet Union, and that maybe he should consider keeping the Russian army in Russia. [/quote]
