Why wouldn't you tell the school if your child is positive for Covid? Do you understand you are putting lives at risk here? Vaccinated grandparents and other adults whose immunity is waning can DIE because you neglected to trigger a quarantine.

Do you even understand why quarantined are put in place???

Stop playing the victim. There are multigenerational families living together. There are parents undergoing chemo. A lot of parents in this area are on the older side. The sick and the old aren't some magical population that you don't know about. Your neighbor, your friend, are likely some of those people. The vulnerable parent here might even be YOU.

Your job is to test after onset of any concerning symptoms and to disclose any positives to the school. That's all we ask. Don't worry your head about whether there's a quarantine and who institutes it. Your duty is to do the first two things. If you sabotage the system, you will elongate the Delta surge and keep everyone under the threat of quarantines for MUCH LONGER.  Essentially, you're sabotaging yourself!
