Why do you want really want all the local teams to play? Bragging rights? Do you know who the top 04 te was in 1998? No? Why not? If your daughter team wins the tournament does she get a college offer? No? Then what does she get? Nothing?

So why do it? Bragging rights for adults who want to justify their choices.

Wrong. You’re over analyzing. Competition for the kids. They care about it more than we do. That’s why they play elite level. Else, they’d just play regular travel or rec. Plus local tourney means shorter travel for good competition. [/quote]

Kids certainly are not posting on Instagram their standings or weekly success. And unlike you, they are likely friends with kids on the other teams. Oddly, they are classier and more mature than you are. Does this mean they don’t play hard or want to win? No, of course not but most teenage girls do not wrap their identities around how they played soccer on a Saturday. [/quote]
