This is an rather delusional perception of the NoVa soccer landscape.  At U16, BRYC would take FCV.  At U17, BRYC and McLean would crush FCV; that FCV team being ranked 20th in the DA is a sign of weakness of that league. At U19, McLean was at least even with FCV this year and next year BRYC will be. Of course, FCV won’t show up to a tourney to play ECNL teams so you can keep living the dream.[/quote]

Agree. 05 FCV would beat McLean and VDA. I’ve seen all of them play. No one in NoVa can hang with FCVs top 4 to 5 players in that age bracket. Rest of the players on these teams are comparable. To bad all of these coaches are too scared to play each other for fear of recruiting. Would love to see Bethesda ECNL (with new Mont. Rush additions), Pipeline, McLean, VDA, FCV, and Arlington play each other in a little 05 Aug. preseason tourney. They could even play indoors at the SJ to stay out of the heat. Throw MU and Loudoun in there to make two 4 team groups. Call it the Beltway “Candle” tournament. (Note the word scramble of the letters in ECNL and DA). Do the same with 04s thru 02s on successive weekends, picking top 8 area ECNL/DA programs in the area at each age group. Come on Clyde and CZ and others ... you can make it happen ...[/quote]

Then you don’t know what your watching. Take the coaches out of it. No joy-sticking allowed. xFCV would have serious problems. Soccer is a thinking game and teams/players who have coaches that joystick do not turn out the way people believe in the end.[/quote]
