As provocative as all of this neo nazi stuff is, the guy shot his girlfriend's parents because they had forbidden her to see him anymore.
Good luck with this. It's the truth, but you won't get through to a lot of the folk on this board. The Mom also called his school. To him, these people were in the process of destroying the only parts of his life that brought him happiness. At 17, the neo-nazi stuff was simply a cry for help. He was playing neo-nazi because it was provocative, but not an actual neo-nazi.
I agree this stuff can be a cry for help, but you cannot know he was not an actual neo-nazi unless you knew him personally. Did you? I hope by the end of this all when we know more there something that benefits someone. Some parent prevents their own kid from going off the deep end by heeding the warning signs or people secure their guns better, but even what I just mentioned implies the boys parents were negligent and we don't know that. We don't know what they did for him and what barriers they faced trying to get the right help. This is basically the nightmare worst case scenario from hell of when your kid dates the wrong guy. That said, I wonder what mental illness this boy had and what his childhood was like. What could have been done differently to prevent him from going down this path?
