It isn't about being hurt that Hillary didn't win the election. It is the whole being terrified that the White House is being run by overt racists who are dead set on changing our way of life as we know it. Maybe the Electoral College will do its job.
It's not about racism and misogyny. It's about employment. I'm not a Trump supporter, but just because Democrats keep throwing those words at Republican voters doesn't make it so.
Unemployment is at 4.9%. Good jobs or bad jobs, people are employed. It's not about employment. It may be about income stagnation, deflation, the lost decade followed by the next one, income inequality, healthcare premiums, or any number of issues. But not unemployment.
If you're in the group that can't get a job proportionate to your skills and training, it's a major concern. Just any old job or underemployment is highly frustrating to them. But feel free to say it's not about employment, just because they can get a job at the nearest hamburger stand.
I was out of the work force for 7 years. I was able to get a job in high tech in 6 months. The problem is this group's skills aren't in demand anymore and in many cases the hamburger stand is what is available, for now since it will be automated in the future just like manufacturing, store clerks, and very soon-truck driving. No matter what The Donald says these jobs aren't coming back and these folks are going to be left behind and unemployed.
