There are a handful of schools across the district that guarantee IB spots for PK.  Miner and I think Van Ness are the only ones near the Hill that participate in that program.  Maybe they will add some schools in the future.  Although I think its designed to help bolster IB participation in ECE which has not really been an issue at Payne the past couple years.  [/quote]

Ten DCPS schools have early action guaranteed PK3 slots. All are Title 1 except Van Ness but every Title 1 school doesn't have the program.

For 2016-17 they are:

Amidon-Bowen Elementary School
Browne Education Campus
Bunker Hill Elementary School
Burroughs Elementary School
Drew Elementary School
Langdon Elementary School
Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School
Miner Elementary School
Noyes Elementary School
Stanton Elementary School
Turner Elementary School
Van Ness Elementary School
