LOL wow.  NP here who has heard of "Hamilton" but not of LMM.  The bottom line is, I don't have enough leisure time to spend it on popular culture--I am more interested in getting in some hikes and gardening.  Bottom PP, I don't follow your logic that people who don't know who popular entertainers are 1) are proud of this fact, and 2) are ignorant and stupid. We just have different interests.  You like People magazine and I like National Geographic.  So what?  In 40 years you will have garnered a certain set of facts (about LMM, about the latest Honey-Boo-Boo scandal...) and I will have more info about how the monarch butterflies navigate or the latest way to make water in the desert.  To each their own, and probably each of us thinks the other is squandering their leisure time.  But I guess the truth is, we are lucky that we live in a country that allows us enough freedom, and leisure time to indulge in our differing interests.  If we all liked what you liked (or what I liked) it would be a pretty boring place.[/quote]
