Some do have poorer ratings, but in my experience and that of friends who also live in different parents of Centreville, it is more related to ELLs not testing well. For the most part, there is good parent involvement, kids get along, good teachers - the schools aren't "rough" like the lower rates schools around Baileys or Rt 1 in Alexandria. I would send my child to any ES in Centeecille without hesitation.

To the OP, 400K will get you farther in Centreville than just about anywhere else in Fairfax in terms of a nice house and good schools. There are other areas (Reston, Burke) but you'll get less house or worse schools.[/quote]
