Some do have poorer ratings, but in my experience and that of friends who also live in different parents of Centreville, it is more related to ELLs not testing well. For the most part, there is good parent involvement, kids get along, good teachers - the schools aren't "rough" like the lower rates schools around Baileys or Rt 1 in Alexandria. I would send my child to any ES in Centeecille without hesitation.
To the OP, 400K will get you farther in Centreville than just about anywhere else in Fairfax in terms of a nice house and good schools. There are other areas (Reston, Burke) but you'll get less house or worse schools.

Different Pp. The big shopping center off of 29 with the IHOP and Spa World and Honey Pig and Glory Days is likely what they are referring to. Many Korean businesses in there, but seeing as there is an IHOP, clearly it isn't 100% Korean. I would consider this shopping center to be the most Korean-oriented...
The shopping center where the Kid 2 Kid and Five Guys is located also has a few Korean-oriented shops (haha pink for instance) but again, the Five Guys is an indication that it isn't all Korean...
I live near there, and yes there are a lot of Korean businesses, but they aren't all Korean, nor do the majority of them lack English signs, and I've always been welcomed in all of the stores. PP is exaggerating to serve her racism.

Oh, and just wanted to add that my community is really Asian, lots of indian and korean families and some russians/eastern european. I don't mind being a minority in my community, we have made great friends. The kids tend to be very polite and kind, I rarely hear about bullying, and my kids are always open to trying new foods because of their friends. Just food for thought!

Another Cville resident here. I live in Little Rocky Run, so drive past Centreville HS multiple times/day. I can't complain about the peer group my kids will have there--Asian kids wearing Stanford sweatshirts is a good influence, IMHO.

I live in centreville-there are a lot of Asian businesses but I think you are exaggerating! No one ever turns down our business.
If they won't bother to put at least some type of signage in English, it gives off the vibe that they are not interested in having me buy what they're trying to sell.
Or that they aren't catering to you, which apparently you expect.

Maybe they mean not that diverse economically (which may be true in certain neighborhoods.) We are also in Centreville and it is very diverse, but in a good way.
