Seems Breitbart's account was correct. From the Idaho Stateman: An incident did occur, Loebs said, and two juveniles have been charged after authorities obtained video shot on a cellphone. But the details of the case don’t match what’s being reported by anti-refugee groups, the prosecutor said. According to those officials, three boys were involved, ages 7, 10 and 14, and the alleged victim was a 5-year-old girl. The boys are from Sudan and Iraq; none are Syrian. They are being held at a juvenile detention facility. Officials suspect the boys have been in the Uniteds States fewer than two years, but their refugee status wasn’t immediately clear to the police chief. There were no adults involved, Loebs said, the boys didn’t have a knife, and the incident wasn’t a “gang-rape” instigated by the oldest boy. “All those involved are juveniles, and the older one didn’t touch the victim in any way,” Loebs said. Only one person is alleged to have touched the victim, said the prosecutor, though he declined to elaborate. Read more here: http://www.idahostatesman.com/news/state/idaho/article84829787.html#storylink=cpy They further say what Snopes did, that there was no knife, no Syrians, etc, but again, that's NOT what Breitbart had down in their story either., nor was it in my post AT ALL. Again, they would not be holding these kids if something significant did not take place.
I'm not denying that "something" took place. That was never the issue. The issue was your description of the incident which was and still is unsupported. Not to mention that these remain allegations and that your only interest was due to the involvement of Middle Eastern immigrants.
My beef is the fact that you linked the article I posted to the Snopes article, which was referencing a tweet and completely different articles, attributing it to the article I posted, and changing the title. Then when I pointed out it wasn't the same, you edited the thread to make it seem as if the article I posted was indeed the same. Again, Breitbart had the facts correct. The Idahoan article linked in it used the word "rape". If you have a beef with the word, speak to them.
I did not edit the thread so stop lying about that. All that is known about this case is that a 10 year old touched a 5 year old in a manner that led to him being charged. How you have concluded that there is a rape is beyond me. There is a broad range of possible actions, not all of which are sexual. Nevertheless, the families of the children have been evicted from their apartment. I hope you and the rest of the hysterical mob that have been whipped up by the lies spread throughout the Internet are happy that these families are being forced out of their homes. Here is the sort of climate that exists there: http://www.idahostatesman.com/news/local/article85221002.html "In February, her younger son, 16, was assaulted in Downtown Boise. His assailant allegedly asked whether the boy was Muslim." I bet that family of the guy who assaulted this teenager has not been kicked out of their home. You are a contributor to this climate of hatred. I hope that you take a lot of pride what you are doing.
