This whole racial tension started with Obama publicly siding with T Martins family....
       That's the funniest shit I've heard all day. What is this an early April Fool's joke? Wait...you're serious? Lol - okay lemme try and clear this bullshit up... No way you're so stupid as to suggest that prior to Obama coming into office there was no racial tension in this country. So obviously you're merely suggesting that the racial tension wasn't as prevalent in the media prior to President Obama's election and subsequently every single thing he says and does being examined under a microscope for traces of potential race-pandering to (GASP!!) someone other than the traditionally privileged pale skinned people of this country.
Different poster here: 1) It's pretty obvious that racial relations are worse today than in 2008 2) It's pretty obvious that a white-majority country voted twice for a black (OK, biracial) President 3) It's pretty obvious that the Presidency gives you a lot of influence and power...which Obama misused, leading to 1) and despite 2)
1. Obvious to who? I would say that is when many Whites were forced to deal with race on a regular basis. The issues did not just spring up. The issues that we now see on the news and the Net everyday have been issues faced in these communities for decades. It is just that now these issues are being piped into YOUR everyday existence. 2. True - and that makes you think that race relations are worse? 3. And many minorities would say that he did not go far enough in using his power and influence. TBH, I think that the main factors in the current racial environment are (1) the rise of social media as an quick and easy forum/fact gatherer/video provider and (2) the MSM's realization that racial tension sells. We used to be able to shield ourselves from these issues although they were always there. Now we cannot because the methods we use to gather info saturate us with these issues. Same with issues regarding Islam. Islamic based terrorism is not "on the rise." Look at the data. It is just that the images are piped into our homes at a everyday clip.
