What tells you that? Please explain.

The HPV vaccine series is at age 11 for both boys and girls because that's BEFORE most kids become sexually active. Waiting until the kid is sexually active to give the HPV vaccine series is like waiting until the kid has been in a room with a kid with measles to give the measles vaccine.

Also, explaining the mechanics of sex to kids before they hear misinformation from other kids on the playground does not promote teenage (or tween-age) sexual activity.[/quote]

There is a panic here, that's why. Were your kids sexually active at age 11? Doctors recommend the vaccine at age 11 so that is what we will do, but wow, there is a panic here.[/quote]
