As a current NCS parent I think you will be very happy with the school.  The reception may have been underwhelming (esp compared to some who give a party atmosphere to welcome families) but the school is amazing day to day.  Not sure what the homework talk was about but sounds like it was a student?  my 3rd grader in public school complains about half an hour of homework at night so take it with a grain of salt - all kids complain about homework at one point or another.  There are homework time limits and block scheduling at NCS and my DD has never been overwhelmed on this front (ever).  Welcome![/quote]
