Don't flush them.
My DW had been the whole time in our current home for 10 years. All of sudden there was a clog at the main line which cause our toilet to overflow.
Had to call plumber to clear main line which surprise there was all these old tampons (over 50) and gunk.

She learned her lesson.  I never laughed so hard when the guy showed me the evidence.[/quote]
