Agree that Ann Taylor is hit or miss although I understand they are trying to reinvent themselves.  Zara seems schizo -- they don't really have an image figured out yet it seems to me.  I have shirts from there that look like Ann Taylor Loft and I have dresses and high waisted skirts that seem very forward.
I also really like French Connection and Club Monaco.
