I thought all the chipotle problems were unique? Like one had bad lettuce, one had staff that didn't wash hands, etc? Was there a common problem with chipotle?
They never figured out what exactly the problem was.
Wrong. Their was one batch of ecoli infected ingredients that evolved into two strains of ecoli. Chipotle's "problem" is they source local, organic food which doesn't have the preservatives and other chemical that kill bacteria. They will have the cleanest freaking restaurants you've ever seen going forward ... they pay people bonuses for not coming in sick. They got unlucky due to their reliance on local small batch stuff. It could happen to anyone, u less you're cutting your meat with Clorox (which is what some chains do).
