It is not unusual or unreasonable to expect them to need 72-96 hours to clear the roads after a large storm. If you think about it, that's an incredibly successful accomplishment.
OMG. It stopped snowing on Saturday and half of it melted today. Its down to about 1.5 feet. Its beyond idiotic that it is taking them all week. The only thing dumber is claiming this is a success or an accomplishment. The kids are going to end up going back when its all melted and gone. Yippee! MCPS waited out the snow for it to melt. Great work everyone. Raises for everyone! As long as you set the bar so low, public officials will lap it up and be less and less efficient.
+1,000,000 BUT, I also think the fault lies with the county public works department. The roads are not properly plowed. Why they cannot get the plows out there to finish the job is beyond my comprehension. I have not seen one plow working today...not one. Every time I saw a plow, they were not plowing. So pathetic!!!
I just drove down 355 tonight and there are still multiple places that it is 1 lane instead of 3 lanes. It is so dangerous. I haven't seen a snow plow actually plowing in 3 days. How have they not fixed these major roads. Heck, the on ramp to 495 on River Rd was plowed in until yesterday afternoon. Pathetic
