The hope is to get increasingly selective as admissions increase. There is a lot of pressure to meet target numbers, so for the first year the BASIS Independent schools will pretty much take anyone. Some of those students will drop out midyear, but since there is a no refund policy, the midyear attrition doesn't hurt profit. Some students stick it out and leave at the end of the year. At BISV this year, student attrition wasn't all that bad. Most of the kids stayed for a second year.[/quote]
