I really cannot imagine how letting my kids choose their clothes has any effect on how they adjust to dressing for work.  I taught my kids that they have to follow the dress code.  Athletic clothing fit well within the dress code at their schools, so long as there are no forbidden graphics on the t-shirts.  One of mine wore only shorts, t-shirts and hoodies, all year round.  Another put together the craziest outfits and the third wears only dresses.  Each to their own because all fit within the dress code.  And, we haven't seen any difficulty adjusting to the first job - at least as far as clothes go.  [/quote]
