OP here: the thing is, I don't like to be hot either and like it cooler at night but when it's set to 63, it's just TOO cold and I hear the heat constantly running because 63 just isn't warm enough for the current outside temperatures. Yes, I do work from home in an office attached to my room and pretty much have myself wrapped in a blanket all day because it's SO cold. I've tried turning it to 65 during the day and the second she gets home at 5pm, she immediately turns it down. On Monday, I put it up to 66 just to warm it up and literally the second it kicked on, she came downstairs asking if I turned the heat on and told me she was hot. It's just insane at this point. I'm fine keeping it on 62-63 at night and prefer it cooler while I'm sleeping but not during the day. Our heating bill isn't even expensive which is what baffles me the most. We live in a 1,350 sq ft condo and our heating bill for last month was $99.21. Obviously it's going to go up with it being colder out but omg come on!
Why not set it to what you want and an hour to two, you set it back to what she wants?
Op here: because from 5pm-11pm when I go to bed, it's FREEZING. It runs non stop after 4pm when it gets colder out and it's on 63. We are on an end unit too so our condo also doesn't hold heat well which makes it worse.
