Everyone has bad days but there is no excuse for shooting death rays at a customer like that. It's weirdly and needlessly...aggressive to do something like that. Was he getting ready to turn off his sign and go for a break when you zoomed up and unloaded your groceries? That's the only thing I can think of. Maybe he was jonesing for a cigarette or something.
