Israels legal immigration policy is designed so that anyone who is Jewish or has a Jewish grandparent can move permanently to Israel. And that helps Israel maintain their desired jewish state. You can take issue with that for having specific religious immigration as a way to outnumber the non-Jewish natives, but Israels [i]legal[/i] immigration is designed to accomplish this specific thing, to include incentives to those who immigrate

U.S. immigration policy however, is designed to keep those who would become public charges (except refugees) from coming in because that is what has been determined to be good for the U.S. [/quote]
