We're also at a Tier 2 school that doesn't start until 9:25 and the earliest we can drop off is 9:10. I agree with one of the other PPs. Drop your kid off a few blocks away from school and just have her walk over if that's possible. Or else, I think it's fine if you drop the kid off early. We have some benches in front of our school, right by the steps and kids do hang out there. Especially a 4th grader. How is the school going to punish this? Are the crossing guards there early enough? Go with her a few days and see what it's like? Our guards get there early enough that I could probably drop my kid off around 9, but we'll see how next week goes. [/quote]
