I think teachers deserve just as much respect/pay as lawyer.  Unfortunately there are teachers who are not bright (just as there are lawyers and investment bankers who are not bright).  I don't think you can use occupation as a proxy for intelligence.

OP, some men care that women have careers.  Those guys aren't dating you.  Some guys don't care, so they are happy to date you.  It really doesn't matter what "men" want in general - it's just about finding a fit for YOU.  You need to find one person, not hordes of men.

I think teachers deserve respect, but I don't think they deserve the same pay as lawyers.  And trust me - I don't like lawyers.  It's all about supply and demand - many more people are capable of being teachers rather than lawyers. Legal work is harder and requires more school. Why should they get paid the same amount?

That said - I do think that lawyers are overpaid.  I don't think teachers are underpaid.  I think they are compensated appropriately.[/quote]
