There are kids getting As from even the toughest graders.  Just not everyone, and apparently not your child.  A B/B+ grade at a rigorous school is nothing to be ashamed of, and it doesn't help your kids to just act as if nobody gets As and the system is rigged.[/quote]

I know YOU.  You are a type.  And I do feel comfortable opining that your kids' private school does not have English and history teachers who refuse to give out As categorically.  Because that's an indefensible position and they'd be fired.  Occam's razor: there are tough graders and your kid didn't get an A and YOU (and perhaps other whiny parents) have concocted a tale that the teachers don't believe in using part of the grade scale.[/quote]
