DD just graduated. Foolish to turn down spot at NCS. Worth every dollar we spend. Poised, confident and as Rob Cary said at gradation there's no grade inflation. NCS is a serious place where grades are earned. My daughter had a 3.2 and was accepted into a great school. Her friends from other schools had much higher, weighted GPA's and didn't do as well.
LOL at this. DD and her BFF arted ways after 8th grade, where DD stayed in our neighborhood public high school in NOVA and her BFF went off to NCS. Four years later, the girls ended up at UVA together after the BFF -- with much higher than a 3.2 -- was rejected by all the Ivies including her first choice, Penn. And our DD is just as "poised and confident" coming out of public school. Don't buy into the hype.
