Didn't Stokes have no pk3 slots for non siblings? What happened? OP, did you have ITS on your list too?
I know a number of families leaving Stokes for "better" options...
For Lee? I find that hard to believe. The OP's question is Stokes vs. Lee, not Stokes vs "better" options.
We're at Lee, kids there have come from many other HRCS or have been offered places at them and turned them down. Don't remember anyone from Stokes. It wouldn't surprise me at all. To some Lee is a "better" option, but it all depends on what you are looking for for your child.
Dear. Many people leave HRCS for other HRCS, Improving DCPS and JKLM etc. There is always a round robin. People are playing lottery all the time and many leave for each other's schools. No reflection of departing school or arriving school, just a reflection of the madness that is DC schools. Don't use it as a bragging point. Especially after only being open for 8 months.
I am well aware of that, my "dear". In fact I was making exactly that point - its not a brag, but a fact. PP expressed disdain that Lee could be a "better" option, but the reality is that what is one person's "better" option is someone else's "safety" (or 5, or 6 or 12th choice).
