They doted on each other.  Well into their 80s, they teased, flirted, and pinched each other on the butt.  He bragged all over town about his beautiful, sweet, strong-minded lady.  She did anything for him.

I watched them in years of alternating bad health - he was sick for a while, then recovered, and she became ill.  Each one cared for the other with an intensity I've never seen elsewhere.  The look in his eyes when she walked into a room... It'd light up your day.

They are both deceased now.  But every time I think about what kind of marriage I want, I think of those two. [/quote]
