Think about when I Love Lucy was on tv; back then it was taboo to even say the word "pregnant" on television. Now, of course, it's beyond normal. Same for interracial and gay couples. These people were, at one point, completely marginalized in pop culture and in society. They still face discrimination and judgment, but it's no longer abnormal to see them on tv, and it's no longer startling to see them at the store or park or family reunion or wherever. Over time it has become normalized and acceptance in pop culture is a major part of that.[/quote]

The more “normalized” it becomes, the more problems our society will have. I hope it never becomes “normal.” 
Transgender is NOT normal.  
Pregnancy IS normal - it is how we as a species reproduce.  [/quote]
