My white kid has been pulled over in my neighborhood 7 times because he drives a hoopty and the neighborhood is affluent. He's asked where he's coming from and what is he doing in this area. Police don't care about color. They care about REVENUE. Like the fat bastard cop sitting at the stop sign on the corner every morning. He's given tickets to almost everyone that doesn't make a complete stop. He's black.
+100
Both of you should be lobotomized, since your brains aren't being used anyway. Unless you have been living under a rock, there is no way that you have not heard by now that, even adjusting for household income and education, black people are more likely to be pulled over, issued tickets, arrested, held without bail, overcharged, and subjected to other infringements on their liberty by the police. Yet you say it is not racial?
I am not sure if you are lobotomized or just plain slow. Now adjust all those metrics based on what actually counts --the actual commission of crimes--, see what you find and come back to report the big news.
Thanks for confirming your already-apparent stupidity. The great sin of statisticians is putting statistics at the disposal of fools like you without first undertaking a mass campaign to educate the public in the use of statistics. There is something called sampling bias, whereby you find what you are seeking. So, when racists -- like you -- who control the criminal justice system start out with the assumption that black people are more likely to be criminal and, thus, arrest more black people, guess what the results end up showing? But all that means is that when you start out with a skewed sample -- as in disproportionately more black people being targeted and arrested, while whites are actually under policed and under arrested -- then you are going to get skewed results -- disproportionately more black people being deemed "criminals". Hence why the phenomenon is known as sampling bias and is something that intelligent people know renders a study and statistics gleaned from that study useless, unless corrected for.
Lady, you have serious mental troubles. Nothing to do with your race, consider it your personal accomplishment. True, there is something called sampling bias. There is also something called murder, which is about the most fact-based crime you can think of. Someone is dead right there. And it happens to be one of the crimes that atracts most resources and scrutiny for obvious reasons. Now explain to me, please, how sampling error may account for this fact: over 50% of the murders con the US are committed by blacks, who, as a group, represent less than 15% of the population.
The post clearly explained how the stats you are quoting are flawed because of sampling bias. This is not that confusing. Stop being stupid and go about your racist, mentally ill way. It is clear you are just looking for an opportunity to throw out the "African Americans are criminals" canard.
I'm sorry if you have a crazy twin who likes to insult people instead of using her God-endowed brain, but the challenge remains open -- Explain to me, please, how sampling error may account for this fact: over 50% of murders in the US are committed by blacks, who, as a group, represent less than 15% of the population.
