I have three kids with varying diagnoses. In my experience at the middle school and upper school level, it is very difficult to get an IEP for ADHD alone at FCPS. One child did not receive even a 504. The child with Asperger's (documented as autism on the paperwork) had comorbidities of ADHD and anxiety and did get an IEP but we really had to fight for it. Also, IMH0, boys are more apt to get the IEPs if they have behaviorial problems no matter what the diagnosis. We caught our DD's Asperger's very late because she was such a good student.
