Honestly, it all comes down to this:

If YOU don't like gay marriage, then YOU simply don't enter into one. Period. But there's no need to concern yourself with who other people marry. It's called live and let live...try it.

But to answer your question, OP: the end game is to see my gay friends welcomed by all religious faiths and political persuasions. It's f'ing 2015 and this is the USA, so you'd think that would be an attainable goal.

Gays already could live together.   Legal marriage allows them to adopt children with no scrutiny of their lifestyle, parade their lifestyle in classrooms with young children, etc etc.[/quote]
