If you don't make that much per hour during the school year, I don't understand why I need to pay so much more.[/quote] Not a teacher or tutor, but... one on one education through tutors is extremely different from the education even the best teacher can provide for a child in a group setting simply because 100% of the tutoring time, energy, and attention is specific to the individual student's educational needs with lessons tailored to be optimum for the specific student. Of course that would be compensated at a higher rate than work in a classroom setting. The teacher/tutor still has to do all the prep work to be ready for each lesson, but your child is the sole beneficiary of that work and gets more out of it than what he would if taught in a group. IMO this sort of education is quite simply worth more.[/quote]
