Very rarely do I see an attitude on DCUM that is absolutely foreign to me, but I see it on this thread. I would cancel the trip, no question. Sorry, DS, but we aren't rich. I've hung out with rich kids before and gotten stiffed. I've learned from that. There is no way I would pay an extra $1k for a last-minute flight change for something like this.
