I think that women need to come to terms with the fact that if they get drunk in public around men, if a man has sex with her while she is inebriated, she needs to just take responsibility and move on. If you don't want to get raped while you are drunk, don't get drunk around men.
I wouldn't go this far. If the male is sober, he can be charged with rape in that situation. But if he is drunk and she is drunk, they are absolved of their actions because they were both drunk. So maybe the poster above was right: schools just have to ban all drunken sex on campus.
If both the male and female are drunk, the male is still generally considered the responsible party, even though this is completely unfair. If this is a college, the male will be expelled in this situation. If you have college age boys, I'd tell them to never sleep with any woman that they see drinking, even if it's just one or two drinks. They should also prefer dating women off-campus, where a false accusation at least won't get them automatically expelled like what is happening at some schools today. There is a full-blown moral panic going on in the media and you don't want you son to get steamrolled by college a beaurocracy that is primarily concerned about covering their asses and making an example about how they will not tolerate "sexual assault." Decades of feminism has brought society back to 1800s, when men are basically the only responsible adults in society and women are helpless ingenues who cannot be held responsible for what they do.
