Unfortunately for me and your kid, ADD is a neurological condition,  not an excess of creativity or intelligence, and no amount of super sanctimommy "parenting" will rewire the brain. Would you try to "parent" the diabetes out of your kid?

NP here.  I am in the exact same boat as the first PP, although I'm old enough that meds weren't really even in wide use when I was a kid.  But I  know I could have benefited, in so, so many ways, if I had gotten on them earlier.  You think I'm lazy, I think you're ignorant and pathetic.
